Stay Hydrated and Keep Skin Moisturised
Drink plenty of water. Make sure you are hydrated on the inside as well as the outside. It is recommended that your drink at least 6-8 glasses a day (around 1.2 litres). It is best to use products that retain moisture in your skin and do not contain harsh ingredients that will dry it out. For example, we make sure that Rejuvenate products contain ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and vitamin E that keep your skin moisturised and hydrated.
Healthy Diet
What you eat is as important as the products you put on your skin. A healthy diet can improve the health of your skin from the inside out. Some foods that are known to be skin-healthy and backed by research include tomatoes, olive oil, green tea, omega-3 (found in oily fish and avocados).
Green Tea
We love green tea, both to drink and put on our skin. It contains powerful antioxidants and is known to be anti-ageing. Our Rich Green Tea Mineral Mask and Intense Night Cream contain green tea extract that you can try.
Stress
Stress levels can impact your skin. Studies have shown that high stress levels lead to more skin issues, such as itchy skin, hair loss and rashes. Research shows that high levels of stress increases sebum on the skin. Sebum blocks your pores and leads to greater acne and skin issues. Try to control your stress levels by using stress reduction techniques, for example, meditation.
SPF
Use it everyday, no matter the weather. When you are outside, you are exposed to UV radiation, which penetrates even through clouds. SPF protects the skin from accumulating damage, which leads to skin issues and developing cancerous skin lesions later.
Sleep
Beauty sleep is an important one. Getting enough sleep and rest will help your skin, remove dark circles and enhance your health. It is recommended that adults sleep between 7 and 9 hours every day. Sleep deprivation has a huge impact on your skin and ageing. Make sure you are getting enough sleep every night. Try sticking to a night routine to help you.
